Scope: This standard specifies the sampling plan and procedures for the counting inspection of electrodeposited metal coatings. Subject to agreement between the supplier and the purchaser, it is also applicable to the inspection of related finishes. The sampling plan of this standard applies to, but is not limited to, the inspection of final products, parts, workmanship materials, and stock finishes. This scheme is mainly used for continuous batches, but it can also be used for isolated batches. However, this scheme provides lower quality assurance for isolated batches than for continuous batches. This standard does not apply to the sampling and inspection of fasteners with electrodeposited metal coatings or associated finishes. In any case, the inspection procedures for fasteners are specified in GB/T 90.1. The sampling plan specified in this standard is based on acceptance quality limits (AQL) of 1.5% and 4.0%. Other acceptance mass limits may be used if specified in the product specification. The sampling plan can also be determined according to the different inspections.
