Addition: This particular standard specifies requirements for the safety and essential performance of anesthesia systems (see definition in 2.101.7) and individual devices designed for use in anesthesia systems. This particular standard does not apply to: - Anesthesia systems using flammable anesthetics, as determined in Appendix DD; - Portable anesthesia systems used for emergency operations in remote areas, open areas or in disaster areas; - Dental pain relief equipment .
