Scope

1.1 This standard specifies universal modular fuse-links (UMF) for the protection of electrical and electronic equipment and components thereof, normally used indoors, and connected to printed circuit boards or other substrate systems. It is not suitable for fuse-links of electrical installations used under special conditions such as corrosive or explosive atmospheres. Usually, this fuse link can only be installed or replaced by suitable professionals using special tools. Fuses for use in fuse holders are under consideration. This part also adopts the requirements of GB9364.1-1997. 1.2 The purpose of this part is to stipulate that in addition to the applicable requirements of GB9364.1-1997, the level requirements of non-interchangeability are also required.
