Scope: This method specifies the determination of the effect of mildew on the properties of synthetic polymeric materials by means of mold. The prepared articles can be tubes, rods, sheets and film materials. With the help of the current ASTM test method, the changes in optical, mechanical and electrical properties after mildew are measured. This section does not address security issues related to its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this section to consider safety and health issues and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
