Scope
This part of GB 20888 specifies the safety requirements and test methods for the design, structure and use of pole-type knapsack power pruning saws with a knapsack power device and the power source transmits power to the cutting parts through the drive shaft. Cutting components in this section refer to saw chains and saw blades that reciprocate or rotate. This part proposes ways to eliminate or reduce various hazards caused by the use of pole-mounted power pruning saws, and specifies the information requirements for safe operation provided by the manufacturer. No part does not mention the elimination or reduction of electric shock hazards caused by overhead cables that have been warned in the operation manual, because the related safety requirements and test methods still need to be explored and improved. Appendix A lists some significant hazards for which the hazard level should be reduced. This section does not address the environmental aspects of pruning saws. This section applies to products produced after its promulgation and implementation.
