Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, labeling, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation and storage of bentonite. This standard applies to foundry, metallurgical pellets and bentonite for drilling mud. This standard does not apply to processed products whose structure and components of bentonite have been substantially changed by the treatment of inorganic acids or organic substances.
