- This standard specifies the flaring test method for determining the plastic deformation capacity of circular cross-section metal pipes. This standard is applicable to metal pipes whose outer diameter does not exceed 150mm (the outer diameter of non-ferrous metal pipes does not exceed 100mm), and the pipe wall thickness does not exceed 10mm. The scope of outer diameter and wall thickness of metal pipes applicable to this standard can be specified in more detail in relevant product standards.
