Scope

This standard specifies the method for measuring the mass of a certain volume of powder to determine the apparent density of surfactants. This standard is applicable to free-flowing powdery or granular surfactant materials, and may also be applicable to powdery surfactants with agglomerates, but these agglomerates should be materials that are easily loosened and the particles are not broken. This standard also specifies the method for measuring the apparent density of slurry-like, paste-like surfactants or similar products when they are filled.
