- This section specifies the syntax rules for related data in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) exchanged between computer application systems. These rules provide a means for transferring data that cannot be carried in batch or interactive EDIFACT messages. These data can be generated by other applications (such as STEP, CAD, etc.) and are referred to as relevant data in this section.
