- Scope
- This standard specifies the determination method for the release of hydrogen chloride and any other acidic products from blends and products mainly composed of vinyl chloride homopolymers and copolymers (hereinafter referred to as PVC) at high temperatures. This standard applies to blends and products with PVC as the main component, not to the mixture formed by mixing. This method can be used to characterize the thermal stability of PVC blends and products. This method is applicable to colored PVC blends and articles where the fading test during heating is unsatisfactory.
