Scope

This standard applies to the determination of the strength of thermal sprayed coatings or the bonding strength between thermal sprayed coatings and substrate materials. This standard is suitable for evaluating the effect of substrate materials, spray materials, surface preparation for work, and spray conditions on the bond and bond strength of thermal spray coatings, or for routine supervision of thermal spray work.
