Scope
This standard is only applicable to newly manufactured static active energy meters (hereinafter referred to as instruments) and their type tests with accuracy grades 1 and 2 for measuring AC active energy with a frequency range of 45Hz to 65Hz. This standard applies only to static active energy meters for indoor and outdoor use consisting of measuring elements and one or more counters housed in the same case. It also applies to one or more working indicators and one or more test outputs. This standard does not apply to: a) Active energy meters with a terminal voltage exceeding 600V (line-to-line voltage for multi-phase instruments); b) Portable meters; c) Data interfaces of meter counters. If the display and/or storage is external, or if other devices (such as maximum demand indicator, telemeter, time switch or remote controller, etc.) are included in the meter, this standard only applies to the metering part . This standard does not include acceptance test and conformance test. The basic guidelines for acceptance test are given in GB/T 17442. Reliability requirements are also not included in this standard, because there is no suitable accelerated test method that can be included in the type test document to verify this requirement.
