- This standard specifies the dimensions, appearance quality, flexural strength, compressive strength, freeze-thaw, bulk density, lime burst, blooming, water absorption and saturation coefficient, pores and their structure, drying shrinkage, carbonization, radioactivity, Test methods for heat transfer coefficient, etc. This standard applies to fired bricks and non-fired bricks. Sintered bricks include sintered ordinary bricks, sintered porous bricks, sintered hollow bricks and hollow blocks (hereinafter referred to as hollow bricks); non-sintered bricks include autoclaved lime sand bricks, fly ash bricks, slag bricks and carbonized bricks.
