Scope

This standard specifies the safety requirements and related performance requirements, test methods and inspection rules for small arc welding transformer structures that can be used by welders for short-time welding. This standard applies to small arc welding transformers (hereinafter referred to as power supplies) for short-time manual arc welding with covered electrodes for welders under general conditions of use. For some special requirements (for example: the load duration rate is less than 20%), it can be stipulated in the relevant technical conditions based on this standard and negotiated between the user and the manufacturer.
