Scope
This standardization guiding technical document puts forward the user requirements for the system and network management of the system to support the time-limited communication system. Such network management is directed to time-bound communication architectures in peer-to-peer or multi-peer communications within or between application processes. This guiding technical document uses the concepts and terminology of the 00S basic framework developed by ISO/IEC JTCl/SC21/WG7 to convert the user requirements of systems supporting time-limited communications into Qos requirements for managing and supporting time-limited communication networks. This Guidance Technical Document also describes the models, characteristics and functions of network management within time-bound communication systems. , this guidance technical document is aimed at time-limited communication systems for discrete parts manufacturing applications, however, these time-limited communication systems can also be applied in other occasions, including process control, etc. This guidance technical document focuses on time-bound communication systems for event-driven applications. In such event-driven applications, the traffic flow and network configuration change dynamically. Of course, this guidance technical document can also be used in state-driven applications, where the communication mode and configuration are static.
