Scope
This part of GB/T 18975 specifies the expression of information related to the engineering, construction and operation of process plants. These expressions support: - Process industry information requirements at all stages of the plant life cycle. Note: Process industries include oil and gas production, refining, power generation, and chemical, pharmaceutical, and food manufacturing. - Information sharing and integration among all entities in all phases of the plant lifecycle. GB/T 18975 applies to: - general, conceptual data models expressing various aspects of the process plant lifecycle; - reference data expressing common information for many process plants and users; - scope and information requirements for additional reference data; — procedures for registering and maintaining reference data; — conformity to the requirements of this standard. The scope of business activities supported by this part is shown in Figure 1, which shows the main activities and data flows related to the plant life cycle. Note 1: This figure is based on the process plant engineering activity model [8]. Note 2 to entry: Use appropriate reference data and the data model defined in ISO 15926-2 to express specific life cycle activities. Example: In a process plant, a reference database covering technical data for process systems, power systems, and instrumentation systems can support design, construction, and maintenance activities for these systems. GB/T 18975 does not apply to: ——Trade, business and administrative management data that are not directly related to the engineering, operation and maintenance of process plants. This section can be used in the implementation of a database or data warehouse to facilitate data integration and sharing among different actors during the lifecycle of a process plant. The general data model specified in ISO 15926-2 provides an appropriate conceptual data model for such a database or data warehouse. Feng 3. See 5.2 for details on the types of conceptual data models.
