Scope: This standard specifies the definition of the International Intermodal Transport Status Reporting Message (IFTSTA) used in the electronic data interchange (EDI) between trading partners in the administrative, commercial and transport industries, for reporting the status of transport and/or Shipping status changes. This standard applies to domestic and international trade. It is based on common business practices and is not limited to a particular type of business or industry.
