Scope: This guiding technical document stipulates the data content and organization method of the digital definition of mechanical products, including digital definition rules, engineering data sets, parts lists, etc. This guiding technical document is applicable to the organization and management of mechanical product data by designers using CAD systems and related software, and facilitates data exchange between computer-aided design systems and related systems. The formal expression method of product data and the realization method of data exchange (the content involved in national standards GB/T 16656 and GB/T 14213) are not within the scope of this technical guidance document.
