Scope

This part of GB/T 18998 specifies the material, product classification and technical requirements of chlorinated polyvinyl chloride pipe fittings (hereinafter referred to as pipe fittings) suitable for industrial applications made of chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C) resin as the main raw material , test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage. This Part, together with 08/T 18998.1 and GB/T 18998.2, can be used in piping systems for transporting suitable industrial solids, liquids and gases under pressure, depending on the chemical resistance of the material. This part applies to petroleum, chemical industry, sewage treatment and water treatment, power electronics, metallurgy, mining, electroplating, papermaking, food and beverage, medicine and other industrial fields. Note: When used to transport flammable and explosive media, it should meet the relevant regulations on fire protection and explosion protection.
