Scope

This standard specifies the methods for evaluating the detergency of detergents by conducting stain removal tests with artificially soiled cloth, and evaluating the ability of detergents to resist redeposition of stains (also known as whiteness retention) with cotton white cloth. This standard applies to detergents for clothing, including the evaluation of detergency and whiteness retention of powder, liquid and paste products.
