- Scope
- This part of GB/T 19077.1 specifies the determination of the particle size distribution of a two-phase particle system by analyzing the scattering diagram of the angular distribution of light. This section is applicable to the determination of air bubbles in powders, sprays, smog, aerosols, emulsions and liquids, etc. No specific requirements are put forward for specific instruments to measure particle size. The particle size range to which this standard applies is from about 0.1 μm to 3 mm. Since the optical model adopted by this technology is set to spherical particles, the particle size distribution of equivalent spherical particles is obtained for non-spherical particles. The relevant particle size distribution results may differ from those determined by other physical principles (e.g. sedimentation, sieving).
