- Scope
- This standard specifies the conditions for reproducible and comparable measurement results of the maximum sound pressure level of air noise for motor yachts with a hull length not greater than 24 m, including inboard motor boats, stern drive boats, personal watercraft (PWC) And standard boats with outboard motors. If it is required to determine the noise exposure level in addition to the maximum sound pressure level, the procedure specified in Annex A shall be followed. Note For other boats beyond the scope specified above, IS0 2922 may be used for noise measurement. The accuracy class of the sound test procedure specified in this standard is engineering class (Class 2) as defined in IS0 12001. See also Chapter 6.
