- This standard specifies requirements for the design, materials, construction, installation and testing of permanently installed fuel oil systems and fixed fuel tanks for internal combustion engines. This standard applies to permanently installed diesel and gasoline systems on boats with a length not exceeding 24 m driven by inboard and outboard motors, and all parts of the fixed fuel tank fuel filler to the connection of the propulsion engine or auxiliary engine .
