GB/T 19277-2003 Determination of the ultimate aerobic biodegradability and disintegration of plastic materials under controlled composting conditions--Method by analysis of evolved carbon dioxide
This standard specifies a method for determining the final aerobic biodegradability of materials as organic compounds under controlled composting conditions by measuring the amount of carbon dioxide emitted, and at the same time determining the biodegradability of materials at the end of the test. Degree of disintegration. This method simulates typical aerobic composting conditions for the organic fraction of mixed municipal solid waste. The test materials are exposed to the culture soil produced by composting, and the composting is carried out under the environmental conditions that the temperature, oxygen concentration and humidity are strictly detected and controlled. This method determines the percent conversion of carbon in the test material to liberated carbon dioxide. The conditions described in this standard do not always correspond to the optimum conditions for maximum biodegradation to occur.
