Scope

This part applies to all DC motors, AC synchronous motors and AC induction motors within the scope specified in the national standard GB 755-2000. The principles are also applicable to other types of rotating electrical machines, such as rotary converters, AC commutator motors, and AC single-phase induction motors, where losses are usually determined by other methods.
