Scope

This part of GB/T 7424 specifies the general requirements for geometric dimensions, transmission performance, materials, mechanical properties, life (under environmental exposure), environmental adaptability and applicable electrical properties of optical cables. This standard applies to optical cables used in telecommunication equipment and installations using similar technology, and also to optical cables with optical fibers and conductive wires.
