- This standard specifies the expected short-term characteristics (instantaneous and for typical periods of the day) of direct-coupled photovoltaic (PV) pumping systems and specifies the minimum actual characteristic values obtained in the field. This standard does not address photovoltaic (PV) pumping systems with batteries. The specified parameters of the photovoltaic power generation system (PVPGS) and the standard day used for the data in Figure 1 should be consistent with the IEC standard on the standard solar day being developed.
