- This standard defines the terms of self-propelled forestry machinery and gives guidance on classification. These terms and definitions are based on the manufacturer's end use for the machinery. This standard applies to forestry machinery specially designed for land preparation, tree planting, harvesting, processing and transportation of wood and wood fiber, but not to machinery, road transport vehicles and aerial ropeways specially designed for sawmills or lumber yards mechanical.
