This standard specifies two methods for determining the combustion properties of rubber in a laboratory environment: the oxygen index method (method A) and the vertical combustion method (method B). This standard applies to the evaluation of the combustion performance and flame retardancy of rubber materials in a laboratory environment, and is not applicable to the evaluation of the fire hazard of rubber materials under actual use conditions.
