Scope: This standard specifies the approximate calibration method for the typical material capacity that the buckets of loaders and front shovels can hold. The capacity calibration is determined according to the size of the inner wall of the bucket and the volume of the material at the top of the pile. For buckets of different structural shapes, the bucket capacity is calculated by dividing the materials contained in the bucket into several simple geometric shapes as aggregates. The purpose of this standard is to provide a uniform calibration method for comparing bucket capacities, not to determine the actual bucket capacity in various usage situations.
