Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, instruments and measuring tools, samples, tests, result calculations, repeatability and test reports, etc. for the method of measuring the specular gloss of architectural finishing materials using geometric conditions of 20°, 60° and 85°. a) 60° geometric conditions are used to measure the specular gloss of various building finishing materials; b) When the specular gloss of the material measured by 60° is greater than 70 gloss units, in order to improve its resolution, 20° geometry can be used Conditions; c) When using 60° to measure the specular gloss of the material is less than 10 gloss units, in order to improve its resolution, the 85° geometric condition can be used. This standard is applicable to the determination of specular gloss of marble, granite, terrazzo, ceramic tiles, plastic flooring and fiber-reinforced plastic panels and other architectural finishing materials. The specular gloss of other architectural finishing materials can be measured with reference to this standard.
