Scope

This standard describes the quality control methods for batches of blue wool standard samples in textile color fastness and weather fastness tests. This standard specifies an instrumental method for evaluating the dyeing uniformity of blue wool standard samples and two methods for evaluating fading performance by visual evaluation and instrumental evaluation. The blue wool standard to be tested is compared with the reference blue wool standard. See Appendix A for acceptance criteria and storage conditions. This standard applies to all dyed wool fabrics used as blue wool standard samples (1-7).
