Scope: This standard specifies the order content, dimensions, shape, inspection rules, packaging, marks and quality certificates of low carbon steel hot rolled wire rods. This standard applies to low-carbon steel hot-rolled round wire rods for deep processing such as wire drawing and other general purposes. This standard does not apply to the following products: - hot-rolled carbon round steel wire rod for standard parts; steel wire rod for welding; - cold pier steel; - free-cutting structural steel and round steel for anchor chains.
