- This standard specifies the basic principles and requirements for the design of trough, tube-rail slides and powered slideways that rely on gravity to slide down by themselves. This standard applies to the design, manufacture, installation, modification and inspection of slideways and slideway supporting facilities. This standard does not apply to water slides and slides without manned tools.
