This standard stipulates that household and similar electrical appliances should have an anti-siphon function to prevent non-potable water from flowing into the water source. Provisions are made for hose assemblies for connecting such appliances to water supply sources with a water pressure not exceeding 1 MPa. This standard applies to household and similar electrical appliances installed in homes, shops, restaurants, laundries and public places. This standard does not apply to the following appliances: - appliances intended for dry cleaning; - appliances intended for medical purposes; - appliances intended for industrial purposes; - water heaters integrated into the water supply system; - water heaters integrated into the water supply system cooler.
