Scope: This standard specifies the nominal pressure series of fluid transmission systems and components. This standard applies to the nominal pressure of fluid transmission systems and components, and also to the selection of pressure values in other relevant fluid transmission standards. Nominal pressure in this standard is the actual gauge pressure applied to the fluid transmission system and components, that is, the pressure above atmospheric pressure.
