Scope: This standard specifies the power measurement and calibration of marine propulsion reciprocating internal combustion engines. At the same time, methods for proving and checking the calibration (rated) power published by the manufacturer are also provided. This standard applies to marine propulsion engines for yachts and other small boats with a hull length not greater than 24 m. This standard needs to be used in conjunction with ISO 15550.
