This part of GB/T 23470 gives general guidelines for the responsibilities of sensory analysis laboratory personnel, in order to enhance the management capabilities of sensory analysis laboratories, optimize staffing, and improve evaluation efficiency. This standard is applicable to any organization planning to establish a standardized organizational structure for sensory analysis. The following two aspects should be mainly considered: - The education level, background and professional ability of laboratory personnel; - The personnel responsibilities of three levels of posts, including sensory analysts and (or) evaluation team leaders and evaluation team technicians. This standard applies to all types of sensory analysis laboratories in the corporate field, research and development institutions, service organizations and official departments related to product quality control. In principle, sensory analysis laboratories can carry out various types of sensory tests, such as differential tests, descriptive analysis (sensory profiling) and consumer tests (such as preference tests). An organization's requirements for the contents of its sensory analysis activities determine the functional scope, conditions and personnel composition of the sensory analysis laboratory in the organization. When applying this section, it should be used flexibly according to the needs and actual conditions within the organization. For example, when the number of laboratory personnel cannot meet the personnel requirements of the three levels of posts, job responsibilities can be reasonably allocated among the personnel. For another example, when there are only two personnel in the laboratory, the person responsible for administrative management and the person responsible for operation can share the responsibilities of technical and scientific research.
