Scope
The calculation formula in GB/T 10062 provides a unified applicable method for the calculation of contact and bending strength of straight teeth, helical teeth, zero degree teeth and spiral bevel gears (except hypoid gears). It is suitable for equal height teeth and shrink teeth. The calculation formula takes into account the main factors known to affect gear tooth pitting and fracture at the root fillet. The calculation formula is not applicable to the following damage forms of gear teeth: plastic deformation, micropitting, surface crushing, welding, abrasion, etc. The calculation formula of bending strength is suitable for the calculation of the fracture strength of the tooth root fillet, but it is not suitable for the calculation of the bending strength of the working surface of the gear tooth, nor is it suitable for the calculation of the failure strength of the wheel flange or web plate or hub. For special types of bevel gears, the pitting resistance and bending strength bearing capacity can be calculated by properly selecting the values of each coefficient in the general calculation formula. GB/T l0062 is not applicable to bevel gears with poor contact. GB/T l0062 is suitable for bevel gears with equivalent cylindrical gear end face coincidence degree εvα‰<2. For gears whose tooth height variation coefficients of large and small gears sum to zero (that is, the normal working pressure angle of the meshing gear pair is equal to the normal pressure angle of the basic rack), the various relations given in this standard are valid. Note: The calculation method of the bearing capacity of the hypoid gear is provided by the manufacturer of the gear cutting machine tool. Note: When this method is used for large helix angle, large pressure angle and large tooth width 6>10mmn, the calculation result of GB/T 10062 should be verified and confirmed.
