Scope

This part of this standard specifies the method for determining the bulk density of metal powders by the standard funnel method. This method is only applicable to powders that can freely flow through a standard funnel with an aperture of 2.5 mm or 5.0 mm. Other parts of this standard specify the method for the determination of bulk density of powders that cannot pass through a standard funnel with an aperture of 5.0mm.
