Scope

This standard specifies the emission limits and measurement methods of exhaust pollutants from small spark-ignition engines (hereinafter referred to as "engines") for non-road mobile machinery. This standard applies to (but not limited to) the type approval and production consistency inspection of the following non-road mobile machinery engines with a net power not greater than 19 kW. - lawn mowers; - chain saws; - generators; - water pumps; - brush cutters. Engines with a net power greater than 19 kW but a working volume not greater than 1 L may refer to this standard. This standard does not apply to engines for the following purposes. - engines for propelling ships; - engines for underground mining or underground mining equipment; - engines for emergency rescue equipment; - recreational vehicles, such as sleds, off-road motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles; - manufactured for export engine.
