Scope
WARNING: Some of the tests described in this standard are hazardous and therefore all appropriate safety precautions must be strictly taken when performing the tests. Attention should be paid to hazards such as bursting, fine jets (which may penetrate the skin) and energy release of expanding gases. To reduce the risk of energy release, the air in the test piece should be exhausted before the pressure test. The test should be operated and completed by trained and qualified personnel. This standard specifies the uniform method for testing and performance evaluation of various metal pipe joints, stud ends matched with oil ports, and flanged pipe joints used in hydraulic transmission. This standard does not apply to the tests of hydraulic quick-change pipe joints covered by GB/T 5861. The tests described in this standard are independent of each other and are the documents followed by each test. For the specific test items and performance standards to be carried out, see the standards of the corresponding components. For the qualification judgment of pipe joints, the test shall be carried out with the minimum number of test pieces specified in this standard, except for those otherwise specified in the relevant pipe joint standards or otherwise agreed between the manufacturer and the user.
