This specification is formulated in order to improve the construction level of engineering construction site equipment and industrial metal pipeline welding engineering, strengthen the quality control of welding engineering construction process, and ensure engineering quality and safety. This code is applicable to the construction of welding engineering of carbon steel, alloy steel, aluminum and aluminum alloy, copper and copper alloy, titanium and titanium alloy (low alloy titanium), nickel and nickel alloy, zirconium and zirconium alloy materials. The welding methods applicable to this specification include gas welding, electrode arc welding, submerged arc welding, tungsten inert gas arc welding, gas metal arc welding, self-shielded flux cored arc welding, gas electric vertical welding and stud welding. The construction of the welding project shall be carried out in accordance with the design documents and the provisions of this code. When it is necessary to modify the design documents and substitute materials, it must be agreed by the original design unit and a written document must be issued. This specification should be used in conjunction with the current national standard GB 50683 "Code for Construction Quality Acceptance of Field Equipment and Industrial Pipeline Welding Engineering". The construction of the welding project should comply with the current national regulations on energy conservation and emission reduction, environmental protection, safety technology and labor protection. The construction of on-site equipment and industrial pipeline welding projects shall not only comply with this specification, but also comply with the relevant current national standards.
