This standard stipulates the installation characteristics of the accelerometer that the manufacturer should provide, and puts forward suggestions on the installation of the accelerometer to the user. The application of this standard is limited to the way of mounting accelerometers on the surface of moving structures, as shown in Figure 1. This standard does not apply to other types of transducers, such as vibrometer probes that measure relative motion.
