Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements and test methods for discharge systems that may cause fire hazards in portable chain saws and brush cutters. The technical requirements include: - the maximum temperature of the exhaust gas and the surface of the exhaust system; - the maximum hole size of the screen spark suppressor; - the limitation of deposits; - the requirements of durability and economy. The test methods include: ——Test methods for exhaust gas and surface temperature of the exhaust system; ——Methods for determining the hole size of screen-type spark suppressors.
