Scope

This standard specifies the methods, items and requirements for testing medical X-ray computed tomography devices (computed tomography X-ray scanner, referred to as CT) for the purpose of quality assurance. This standard applies to the acceptance testing of CT machines, the state testing and stability testing of CT machines in use. This standard does not apply to the quality control in the production of CT machines and the image display system and hard copy system used in conjunction with CT machines.
