1.1.1 This standard applies to electronic devices intended to receive, generate, record or reproduce audio, video and related signals, respectively, which are designed to be powered by mains power, power supply equipment, batteries or remote feed systems. equipment. This standard also applies to equipment designed to be used exclusively in combination with the above equipment. This standard is primarily applicable to equipment for household and similar purposes, but may also be used in places where the public gathers, such as in schools, theaters, places of worship. This standard also applies to professional equipment intended for use in such locations, unless such professional equipment is specifically regulated within the scope of other standards. This standard deals only with the safety of the equipment mentioned above and not with other characteristics such as style or performance. This standard also applies to such equipment if the above-mentioned equipment is designed to be connected to a communication network or similar network, such as with an integrated modem. Some examples of equipment falling within the scope of this standard are: - receiving equipment and amplifiers for sound and/or video; - separate load and source transducers; - intended to supply power to other equipment within the scope of this standard - power supply equipment for electronic musical instruments and electronic auxiliary equipment for use with electronic or non-electronic musical instruments, such as beat generators, tone generators, music tuners and similar equipment; - audio and video teaching equipment; - video projectors ; - video cameras and video monitors; - video game machines and jack-up machines; - jukeboxes; - electronic gaming and scoring machines; - telegraph equipment; - record players and CD players; - tape recorders and CD recorders; - antenna signal converters and amplifiers; - antenna positioners; - civil frequency band equipment; - imaging equipment; - electronic light effect equipment; Equipment; - Intercommunication equipment using the low-voltage power grid as the transmission medium; - Cable front-end receivers; - Multimedia equipment; - Professional general-purpose amplifiers, record players or CD players, tape recorders, video recorders and cable broadcasting amplification systems; - Professional audio/video system; - Electronic flash equipment for photography (see Appendix L). 1.1.2 This standard is applicable to equipment whose rated power supply voltage does not exceed the following values: - single-phase AC power supply 250 V or DC power supply 250 V; - AC 433 V for equipment connected to non-single-phase power supply. 1.1.3 This standard applies to equipment intended for use at altitudes not exceeding 5 000 m, mainly in dry areas and in temperate or tropical climates. See Appendix A for supplementary requirements for splash-proof equipment. See Appendix B for additional requirements for equipment intended to be connected to a communication network. Additional requirements may apply for equipment intended to be used in vehicles, ships or aircraft or at altitudes above 5 000 m. Equipment intended to be used under special conditions may require additional requirements in addition to those specified in this standard. 1.1.4 For equipment designed to be powered by grid power, this standard applies to equipment intended to be connected to grid power whose transient overvoltage does not exceed the overvoltage category II specified in GB/T 16935.1. For equipment intended to withstand transient overvoltages exceeding overvoltage category II, additional protection may be required in the mains supply of the equipment.
