Scope: This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of food additive glucono-δ-lactone. This standard applies to the food additive glucono-δ-lactone produced by the reaction of calcium D gluconate and sulfuric acid. The product is mainly used as a stabilizing and coagulating agent in food processing. Molecular formula: C₆H₁₀O₆ Relative molecular mass: 178.14 (according to the international relative atomic mass in 2001)
