- This standard specifies the skill assessment requirements for automatic welding and mechanized welding operators. The object of skill assessment is welding operators who are responsible for programming welding equipment and (or) adjusting parameters during welding. This standard applies to the skill assessment of steel, aluminum and aluminum alloy fusion welding (automatic welding and mechanized welding) and resistance welding operators.
