This standard specifies the technical requirements, general requirements for testing, packaging and marking of high-voltage insulator porcelain parts. This standard is applicable to insulator porcelain parts used on overhead power lines, electrical installations and equipment of AC systems with a standard voltage higher than 1 000 V and a frequency not exceeding 100 Hz. This standard does not apply to porcelain pieces working in medium (gas or liquid) that can damage porcelain and glaze.
